To some, the term "ghetto" creates mental images of a rough inner-city. For me, it brings to mind the original incarnation of SP.com. It was quite rough to say the least! All I knew was that I wanted to create a website, and this is what I came up with. The website's first title was the "ShowBiz Pizza Place / Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Website". My goal was to keep the memory of ShowBiz alive, but I couldn't deny the connection to Chuck E. Cheese, so naturally, it needed to be included too.

The idea was to keep them seperate, like sister-sites to one another, and the index page allowed you to choose which site you'd like to visit. Each one was equipped with its own Collectables Section, Photo Page (less than 10 photos in each), Characters pages, and an Information page that was so uninformative that it should have been named something less misguiding.

Hey, it was a start. LOL

As I got further into developing the websites, I realized that the number of "joint" pages (pages that were both CEC / SPP related) was growing rapidly. Also many people who began submitting material were sending me stuff relating to both restaurants. The more I learned about the different restaurant concepts, the more I realized that they were basically one and the same. It was at that point that I decided to scrap the idea of having sister-sites and just incorporate everything into one main website.

Interesting tidbits: Although the Collectables Sections are still seperated, the page containing both Billy Bob and Chuck E. Cheese items is still titled "joint.html" - one of the last carry-overs from the original website(s). The main website banner through 2005 was named "duoban.jpg", which was also a carry-over from the original design. The "duo" was to denote that the header was meant for pages that had elements of both concepts (as seen on the main index above).
