Yes my friends, I went to Missouri - "The Show-Me State". I was confused by what that meant until I actually went there. It could have meant alot of things, like "Show-Me what there is to do in this State". Or maybe "Show-Me what I was thinking when I wanted to come here". Or perhaps "Show-Me the quickest way outta here!". All would fit just fine. But I guess that Missouri had some interesting things to see. It really wasn't so bad. Chuck E. actually kind liked it there (but don't tell anyone). First I went to the southern part of the state, into the Ozarks.

Mark Twain National Forest. By golly it was hot there, and humid too. You have NO idea what sweaty Rat fur smells like! It's kinda this sweet and sour smell that.... oh, nevermind. You don't wanna know, trust me. What was I talking about now? Oh yes that's right, the forest. Anyway the forest was really pretty but had more bugs than I do. (Wait, forget I said that...)

Well the Forest was nice, but I needed to get to some Civilization. I had a choice to go to either Kansas City or St. Louis. Well, I hate the Cheifs so I decided to make it St. Louis. It was pretty cool there. I went downtown and got to visit the Gateway Arch. I really didn't see the big deal, I mean, it was a big arch. So freakin what? I think that this was the only picture I wasted on it. I was so dissapointed that I almost turned the car around and went home, but I thought I'd check it out since I was there. From the base of it I spotted some more familar arches. Golden ones.

Well, one of the highlights of the trip was definitely eating at the Riverboat McDonalds. I mean, I'm not any McDonalds freak, but look - IT'S FLOATING!! That in-and-of itself made the 5 hour trip to St. Louis worthwhile. It was a McDonalds AND a boat. It blew my mind.....

Since the Arch didn't quite do it for me, I wanted to go see another monument. My Chioice? I went to Sumner, Missouri to see Maxie - the world's largest Goose. When I first gazed upon it's greatness only one thought went through my mind - "WOW! That's the Biggest Goose I've seen all day!". It was an almost spiritual experience. I nearly wet myself. I used up every last picture I had trying to capture all of Maxie's majestic glory on film. I didn't ever want to leave, but it was getting dark and the wolves were starting to come out....
