ISSUE #2 - July, 2000
Back to ShowBiz Pizza.com Homepage

Hello! Welcome to another fun filled installment of "Billy Bob's Bulletin". Now I know that last issue I promised that I wouldn't spend every issue complaining about stuff. Well, I'll try to keep the complaints to a minimum this month, but I might still have to bitch about a few things. :)

Ok, I'll just get the complaining stuff out of the way and do all that first. I lost the Animatronic Billy Bob on eBay last night *grrr*, and I'm still quite peeved about that. I got a job recently at the local supermarket "Food Pride". The job has been keeping me busy lately (which is why this site hasn't been updated much as of late - and I appologize for that). But I'll still try to keep the updates a'comin as much as I can.

Well, my disowning of CEC is going rather well. I'm currently selling off my CEC stuff and sales have been good thus far. So if any of you want some of my CEC junk, just check out my brand spankin' new VegaNova's Sale Page and see if there's anything there that catches your interest. And be sure to check out the "Collectable of the Month" to see the nicest CEC item I currently have. Oh yeah, and if you want it, then go bid on it - it's up on eBay auction right now.

I've been doing some thinking lately. When I first started building this site, I had some ideas of what I wanted to have in it. And as I went along it became bigger and more complex, and new ideas formed of what else I could add. Well, I've come to a fork in the road, and I'm going to need some feedback from everyone as to which path I should take....

Here's the situation. I went through this site the other day - page by page. And it finally occured to me just how much stuff is packed in here. To me it was bordering on insane. Tons of pics and info, and I didn't even get to the song downloading. So my question became this: Is there a point where a website can get "Too Big"??

You see, for the longest time I was posting every single bit and peice of information that I could get my hands on, all the while I never considered how large my site was getting. I'm now at the point where I'm wondering if perhaps I should start being more selective with the things I post (or at least the types of things I post). Or it could be that I'm making a big headache out of nothing and I should just keep building like there's no tomorrow. I want feedback from everyone letting me know what you think. I have embedded page counters in most of the sections, and alot of people seem to enjoy the pics section and info section. But let me know if there's parts of this site that you think I should build more on, or maybe some sections that I could do without. (Which reminds me, all my beseen counters reset sometime last night - freakin' beseen, if this problem doesn't fix itself soon I'm gonna have to raise hell.)
Interesting Fact
of the Month

In 1993 Chuck E. Cheese held a Corporate Convention in Pheonix, Arizona. One of the activities included a golf tournament (from which I managed to obtain the 3rd place team trophy). The slogan from the convention was "When You're Hot - You're Hot". Perhaps a little conceited for a theme, but fitting for the success that the company has had.

Let me shift gears now. I was checking out the Looney Bird site the other day, and I found some interesting things. For one, the CEI section of the webpage is no longer accessable. (But don't worry, I stole all the pics of the assorted RAE shows and will probably post them in the pics gallery soon). But there's a matter of more importance that I want to bring everyone's attention to. Looney Bird will be without a home as of August 27th. They need help relocating, and have even offered to make the person who can help them relocate a part-owner in the franchise. So if you know of ANYONE who has money and might be able to lend them a hand, I strongly urge you to take part in helping them find a new home. There's a link straight to Looney Bird's page here.

While your there be sure to check out the great realvideo clips of some Kareoke performances. There's even one of Aaron showing how the kareoke system works. It's definetely worth checking out - for once you can hear him sing out of character and using his normal voice!

Well that's all for this month. I want to thank everyone who's participated in the Rock-afire "project" - I'll be sure to update each of you on how things turn out. And for those of you who haven't contributed yet (shame on you), there's still time. Just drop me an e-mail for details, and I can get you added in. And for all you CEC collectors, be on the lookout for my stuff on eBay - seller ID "veganova". I'll be turning 20 on the 5th of this month, so I'll have to break out my SPP party hats and throw myself a little party. (Actually I'm just kidding - as luck would have it I have to work on my birthday.) So that's gonna be my final complaint for this month, but I'll be back next month with plenty more. See you then.

See ya'll next month!
