ISSUE #6 - November, 2000
Back to ShowBiz Pizza.com Homepage

Hello everyone! I know I'm extremely late getting the bulletin out this month. I was waiting for this domain service to get itself settled and prepared for upgrades and they never did. I don't know what their problem is.. it's a long story. So I'm just going to give up on them and proceed with the new issue.

September was a busy traffic month, but I was very pleased to see even more traffic in the month of October. I'm glad to see that people come to this site even with the lack of updating that occured last month. Sorry about that by the way - it was just a super busy month and all. But thanks for the site hits, I'm glad to see that my website means so much to so many people.

I've also met some interesting new fans this past month who were very nice to talk to. Also I want to thank the person who sent me the footage of Santa and Uncle Klunk, that was very helpful to me and will be enjoyed by several people. Thank you so very much! By the way, anyone interested in seeing the Klunk home video footage, drop me an email and I can run you off a copy.

Bear Character

CEI Bear
  • This bear (I'm not sure who he is exactly) is an early CEI character who dates back to about 1978 by my estimates.

Well, last month we had the chat session and it turned out to be a fairly decent success, I was pleased with the turnout anyway. Thanks to everyone who participated. Someone working at CEC headquarters dropped in which was nice to see. He mentioned that all the trouble with the ended eBay auctions and such was due to their lawyers. Apparently they have sole discretion in protecting the company, and alot of this stuff probably doesn't even get back to corporate HQ. So here's the point where I stick my foot in my mouth. I've talked to some people inside CEC recently and learned quite alot of useful info which is nice, and I commend those who have taken the time to talk with me. So I want to appologize for the comments made in the past about the CEC corporate offices.

Ok, there I said it. Probably not what you'd expect to hear from me, but it's something I feel obligated to say. But I do feel that their lawyers oughta try applying some common sense and realize that some of the unnecessary actions they engage in only hurt the image of the company they're supposed to be protecting.

Well, I want to say that I'm off on a "pilgrimage" this upcoming week to see the Billy Bob's Wonderland locations out east. I'm so excited - I haven't seen an actual RAE in about a decade! This means that I won't be able to answer emails this week, but I'll write back as soon as I can get to a computer. I'm sure that I'll have lots of stories which I'll gladly share in next months Bulletin.

Wish Me Luck,
- VegaNova
