ISSUE #10 - March, 2001
Back to ShowBiz Pizza.com Homepage

It's hard to believe that it's March already but it is. This year's been going by way too fast for my tastes. I can't complain too much though, I'm finally at a point in my life where things are going good and I'm being appreciated for the kind of person I can be. I want to take a moment to say thank you so much to a very special girl named Sandra. You've opened my eyes to several new things, and have been so patient with putting up with my many "quirks". Thank you. That being said, it's time to get down to business.

Let's begin with a mysterious phenomena that's plagued me and other CEC fans over the past month. During the month of February, 3 CEC-related auctions mysteriously dissapeared from the eBay website - a TEAMē Leader Manual, a CEC costume head, and a CEC VHS Showtape. What could have caused these strange occurances? Perhaps eBay server problems accidentally wiped out these auctions, or maybe they were removed as part of a top-secret government cover-up conspiracy, or could it be that someone involved with CEC didn't want these items to be released into the hands of the public? Quite frankly folks I'm as baffled as you are. I appologize that my journalistic reporting isn't enough to offer up a solid conclusion. You'll have to decide your own oppinion on this one.

Beseen.com has caused me a heck of a website mess. I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but this website exists on several different homepage accounts on the net. Which makes things complicated, but it would also be harder to completely shut this site down.

Collectable Of The Month
ShowPlace Pizza
Tickets

ShowPlace Pizza
  • These tickets are from a short lived restaurant that was around for only about a year (and might have only had one location). ShowPlace was opened after a ShowBiz closed down. The tickets have Billy Bob and Fatz on them, along with the company slogan "There's no place like ShowPlace". Thanks to Britt for this great scan!

Anyway since Beseen is shutting down it's homepage service, I'm losing about 75 MB of web hosting space - which equates to a LOT of memory for holding pictures. So even though I've been updating like mad, you may not notice the changes because I've been having to fix what was already finished. Well I was able to get most everything backed up by the March 8th deadline. Thanks Beseen for wasting my time and everyone else's.

State Fair Show
(Retrofitted Rock-afire Explosion)

Retrofitted
  • This photo is of from a state fair where they had a show put together using retrofitted Rock-afire Explosion mechs. Thanks to Pizza Cam for submitting this great pic!

But I suppose that I shouldn't complain too much. Because I was forced to re-create most of my site I was able to fix minor problems and change things I've been meaning to for quite sometime. And now that it's out of the way I can get back to the business of making real updates. And sorry everyone for the ugly Tripod banners at the bottoms of most of the pages. Until I get my own server I have to keep them on there.

Ok, on a more positive note, be sure to check out the "website of the month". This month I have a special site to send you to - one that's not getting the traffic it's deserves. It's my brother's website - he's helped me build this site from the ground-up. All of my HTML knowledge came from him, and whenever I need tech support he's the first person I turn to. In fact he was the one who put together the original script for this very bulletin. I guess what I'm trying to say is that without him I wouldn't even have this website. Over the years my website has flourished and gained heavy traffic, and now I hope to return the favor to him. It would mean alot to me if you'd take a minute and check out his site.

Cool Website of the Month
Master Phred's Webpage

Master Phred
  • This my brother's site which has pages on bands (Insane Clown Posse and more), a section featuring javascript games called "Games of Bordem", and a hodgepodge of other stuff.

Thanks again to everyone for your continued support of the fan section! Without all of you that portion of my website couldn't exist. It's really great to see your contributions and dedication to ShowBiz and Chuck E. Cheese. It's reasons such as this why I love being (and am proud to be known as) as ShowBiz / CEC fan myself. Thanks again to everyone, and be sure to check back early next month for new surprises!

See You Next Month,
