ISSUE #13 - June, 2001
Back to ShowBiz Pizza.com Homepage

Hello! Well unless my calendar is lying to me, it's June again. Which makes my version of Billy Bob's Bulletin one year old. That's right, you've all put up with me jabbering on about this and that for an entire year. It really doesn't seem like it's been that long, but then again the years seem to be flying by faster and faster anymore.

The biggest news as of late is that I have a new job. This also explains why the updates may be sparce for awhile. I'll try to keep up with updates at least once a week, but I've been working the graveyard shift which makes managing my day time difficult. I've also been trying to spend every day I have off with my girlfriend as she has to come first in my life. But I'll still try to get in updates whenever possible, and I still have alot of stuff that people have submitted to me which I haven't had the time to post just yet, so keep checking back for some really great updates.

My new job is working in grocery again, but this time for a larger grocery chain called Safeway. They pay alot better than my last job too. Anyway, my routine every night is stocking the store, which means that I've unwittingly become familar with alot of different products. I've noticed that there's quite a few items in our store that have CEC on them. There's a new version of the CEC Mac & Cheese (as featured in a past bulletin) only now they have an updated offer for the new CEC plush with purple outfit and the CEC Sweet 16 Hotwheels car. They also have a CEC "Quick Mac" or something like that which has a coupon for a bunch of free tokens on every box.

Collectable Of The Month
Billy Bob Plastic Rings

Billy Bob Rings
  • This is a bunch of cheap plastic rings from ShowBiz that have Billy Bob on them. I've also thrown in a photo of the CEC version, this was another product that was basically identical but was made with each mascot character for the different stores.

CEC has also made his way to Hi-C and Minute Maid products (both manufactured by Coke). They're mostly on those packs of single drinks that have the little straw thingie you poke in. Some of them just have coupons for free tokens, others have little games to play and some have sports tips. I just found it surprising to see so much CEC related stuff at a grocery store..

Cool Picture
of the Month
CEC & Nolan Bushnell

CEC and Bushnell
  • This is a pic of CEC and his creator Nolan Bushnell which was obtained from an old issue of Video Games magazine. Thanks to Andy for the pic!

This is kinda off subject, but I have space to fill so I'll just go off on a tangent if you don't mind me doing so. Lately I've really started to appreciate Shalisa's (Mitzi's) voice. It really is quite incredible. The radio station that we listened to at work last night must have played 8 or 9 songs that were re-done by Mitzi and the RAE. All I can say is that Mitzi's versions pretty much wiped the floor with the originals. She just has an amazing voice. Anyway...

Anyone interested in a Billy Bob costume? My friend Andy (who gave me most of the material to get this site off the ground and running way back in the day) is looking to sell the costume he has. It's in need to some fixing and some tender loving care, but it's still quite a rare item. It's the only Billy Bob suit of it's kind that I know of and would definetely be worth someone's time to look into getting. Just click here to see some pics of it.

Well that about does it for this month, I want to thank everyone who's submitted material to me over the past month (which has been way too many people to thank individually), and to those who's stuff I haven't been able to post yet, just hold tight because it will go up as soon as I can post it. Everyone else should definetly check back because I have a lot of neat stuff on the way!

See You Next Month,
