ISSUE #21 - February, 2002

Hello fellow fans. Sorry for the lateness of the Bulletin this month and apparent lack of updates. I've been going through alot of options in finding this site a better home and I think I've found one. Unfortunately that means having to move most of the material of this site from one spot to another. But it also gives me the option to make changes along the way.

I'll start off with some news and rumors that have been flying around. First off I have an update on CEC's 25th Anniversary. Don't get excited yet, it's just more of the same... that so far nothing's being planned. But there's still a long way to go this year so something may turn up, we'll just have to wait it out.

Here's a fun one. If there's one negative vibe pertaining to CEC on the message board, it's what they've done to the animatronic show. First Studio C, then the chopped down Studio C beta. What's next, CEC's with no show at all? Enter the CEC Buffet. A scaled down, pay at the door, CEC restaurant aimed toward smaller markets. While there's no showroom or show, a costumed CEC will be on the floor at all times. I know that the topic of the CEC Buffet has been brought up on the message board, but I just wanted to drop a few more details to everyone. Keep in mind that none of this is set in stone, and everything is still in the concept stages so everything may change if these smaller stores are actually put into production.

As mentioned the Ashland location for Billy Bob's Wonderland is no more. It closed down a few months ago, around November if I'm not mistaken. So if you've been wanting to see a Rock-afire show but have been putting it off, it might be a good idea to do what you can to see one while they're still around.

But from what I know the Barboursville location is still opperational. Barboursville was the busier of the two stores, despite having the show that was in worse repair. But on a lighter note, they have plans to open a new Billy Bob's right across the street from the existing one in Barboursville. Even though it wont be finished for a few years they're very excited about it. They haven't actually started building the building yet but have already made the arrangements for the laser tag attraction they plan to add. The new building is slated to be much larger and we have alot more games and an outside go cart track, unless plans change before it is done. Also the Ashland show plans to find a new home here because, as mentioned, it is the show in better condition.

That's about it for this month, I'm out of time and also out of stuff to talk about. Some of you may have noticed the little "support your community" icon added to the homepage. I'm hoping to raise some funds by selling ShowBiz and CEC items to help cover the costs pertaining to this site. So if you're looking to fill that hole in your collection, look here first. Afterall, the money will be going to a good cause. More on this in a few weeks!

See you again next month!
