Well it's June and that means we've reached the 2 year anniversary of Billy Bob's Bulletin. Kinda neat because this month I'm focusing on another anniversary of sorts. The special birthday party held in honor of CEC's 25th Birthday at the Danvers, MA store!

On May 22, 2002 the cast and crew at in Danvers threw an incredible celebration for CEC's 25th Birthday. Leading the festivities were some of CEC's biggest fans including Jenn and J. Hubbard (both of whom have contributed photos and info to this website over the past years). They really raised the bar on this one, and made some great memories for the children who were lucky enough to attend the party, I'm sure of that!
Jenn, who has been a life-long fan of CEC ever since she 1st visited the Pizza Time Theatre as a child, went the extra mile to include a touch of nostalgia by including some old trademarks such as CEC's old outfit. CEC's mom was also brought in using an older costume, creating something new out of something old. Very nice work! It brings to mind a topic mentioned recently on the message board regarding CEC's past and future. As a company, CEC needs to look toward the future. Yet fans can't help but look both ways, because the present as well as the future eventually becomes the past. Talking with other fans and being one myself, I'm begining to see that the memories CEC and ShowBiz Pizza create and the lives they impact are what's really important. Chuck E. Cheese could go bust and dissapear tomorrow and it really wouldn't matter. Yeah, alot of us would be dissapointed, but regardless, the memory and legacy will live on.
