ISSUE #26 - July, 2002

Hey Everyone, got a really short bulletin this month. Sorry it's so late, it seems like the 4th of July was just yesterday. Well, just about all the exciting news has been posted on the message board, but I do have a few tidbits that haven't been brought up yet.

The birthday party thrown for CEC's 25th Birthday down in Danvers, MA (see last month's Bulletin) has been getting some positive feedback from the head CEC office. They featured a full page article in their weekly corporate newsletter which is sent out to all stores. Jenn, who masterminded the event, also received acknowledgement from CEC's Director of Opperations. To top it all off, Jenn was recently voted manager of the quarter in her district. It's really nice to see one of Chuck E.'s biggest fans being rewarded for her years of dedication.

If anyone missed the conversation from the message board over the past month, here's a quick run-down of current news. Longtime Rock-afire fan, Snap recently visited Creative Engineering to fix up the RAE show in their programming room, and got it back into proper working order. The new Looney Bird's in New Orleans was unable to open as planned on July 20th, but should be open soon. The new Billy Bob's Wonderland to be opened in Barboursville is already under construction and is being tenatively called "Billy Bob's Super Wonderland". The first Small town CEC has opened in Waco Texas and opening sales looked to be very promising for the concept.

Here's a little tidbit from the upcoming September CEC show: one of the intermission segments slated to be included is a CEC reality-based show parody called "Pizza Survivor". I can't give away any details other than the fact that Jasper (our message board administrator and official reviewer of Showtapes) came up with the concept! Way to go Jasper!

One thing that I've started recently is a project to make a minature Rock-afire set up from scratch. I have a few of the heads sculpted out already, but nothing's complete yet. I'm making the characters in the scale of the large sized dolls. It should be pretty sweet when it's finished. I just find it incredibly ironic... I can remember when I was in 2nd grade trying to make myself a Rolfe and Earl Doll (it didn't look like much of anything - I was only 7 mind you), and here I am 15 years later still trying to make one. That's about all for this month, be sure to check back in August for a regular sized Bulletin.

See you again next month!
