ISSUE #41 - January, 2004 Back to ShowBiz Pizza.com Homepage
Happy New Year everybody! It's a little late for a new years greeting as the end of the month is quickly approaching, but the year is still very early and I'm excited about all the new stuff that's going on.
|
I hope that everybody had a nice holiday season. They kinda passed me by this time around because of moving and graduation, but that's ok. Everything has been going ok, and we're settled into our new place and I've set up my own little shrine in which to opperate ShowBiz Pizza.com out of (a little inspiration never hurt anyone).
You'll notice that the site has a slightly new look and feel to it. This is being done in order to give the site a fresh and (more professional) appearance. The banner has been changed after a fun filled 3 years of adorning these pages. The new "ShowBiz Pizza.com" title replaces the old one that was like 15 words long and nobody could say in one breath. Look for the new ShowBiz Pizza.com title to begin appearing everywhere, in a site revamp I like to call concept unification (sorry, I had to say it). In an unrelated story, the old banner will retire to that great Recycle Bin in the sky...

- This is an interesting ticket from CEC's that is worth 2 points. Thanks to PizzaCam for the awesome pic.

The new look also involves the addition of new icons. Now, right now on the index page they may seem random and scattered, but this will all make sense in the weeks to come. The gradient dots behind each icon will be matching once you enter that particular section - for instance, the SPP Collectables page will have all yellow icons, the CEC Collectables page will have red, Info will be light blue, etc. This will make things easier to navigate and keep people from getting lost. The method of navigating will be the same as it always was though because it seems to be the most fun and user friendly means I've found. Plus people have threatened to hang me if I change it.
The new 2004 Fan Club is also rolling. New packages for a new year - the new Platinum includes the new Vinyl CD-R of the Rock-afire's New Years Eve 1982 plus some new goodies which in my oppinion are much better than last years. Also the gold package now includes the Birthday club and is only $5. Existing club members can renew at any time between now and when their old membership expires and extend their status for another year. Also coming soon is the Fan Club shop where members can pick and choose items (such as things they might have missed that were included in the 2003 club and more). Club members will receive notification of this new shop as soon as it opens.

Cool Picture of the Month |
CEC Holiday 3-Stage
- This photo was submitted by CECTechman of his store's 3-stage all decked out for Christmas.

| Also in 2004, Rock-afire fans will want to keep an eye on the Mp3 Archive. Every month a new Wolf Pack 5 track will be available, there are 12 in all so if you visit every month of the year you can collect the entire showtape. This is also the first showtape that was at ShowBiz Pizza Place, not one of the earlier ones.
Well, that's about all for this month. I hope that everyone keeps coming back and I'll so my part to keep adding new stuff for ya'll.
See ya soon! - VegaNova |
