ISSUE #52 - March, 2005 Back to ShowBiz Pizza.com Homepage
Hey everybody! Hope that all is well and thanks for continuing to read these bulletins. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm ready for winter to be over and summer to be here again. The weather here is starting to warm up some which is giving me the itch to get out more.

The one topic that's been pretty hot on the message board this past month is the talk of CheeseVention 2 or "CV2" as it's been dubbed. In case you've been living in a hole and haven't read the thread, the event is officially scheduled for friday July 29th, with fan get-togethers planned into the weekend for those who want to stay longer.
I know that the end of July seems so far away right now, but that's kind of the point. If you have any chance of coming this year we want to welcome you out and give you as much planning/saving time as we can. Jenn, J. and I have done all that we can to make this event bigger and better than last years. That's just the way things have to go - trial and error. I think that everyone enjoyed the inaugural CV, and this year is designed to not dissapoint. We're four months away and there's been a massive amount of work that's already gone into planning CV2. |
Collectable Of The Month |
ShowBiz Pewter Items
- These appeared on eBay before being pulled recently. From 1982, they seem to be quite rare.

I know that I've been pretty silent on the matter so far, but I've been doing all that I can behind the scenes. I've seen some of the preliminary artwork for the event's logo(s) and they look excellent! Definetely some great possibilities for T-shirts, etc. There's also a new production in the works that's designed to hype up the new event - more information on that coming soon. Also on my end I'm working on designing a super neat and exclusive collectable for attendees of CV2 - something that will never be available anywhere else.

- Here's a classic promo shot of CEC with a local high school basketball team. Thanks to Johnnyboy for the photo!

Since March will be almost over by the time this issue hits the old website, I'll keep this short and sweet and wrap it up. There's one last thing that I want to mention for fans of the Rock-afire. Toxic Audio (Shalisa - Mitzi) has a brand new CD that's just been released. This is their first release on a record label, which was no doubt a result of their off-broadway success. The CD is so new that I don't even have my copy yet... it's in the mail. But judging from the clips I heard, it shouldn't dissapoint. Many of the tracks look to be pulled from the last CD 'Chemistry' - which isn't a bad thing really. That CD was awesome and a personal favorite of mine. For anyone interested, the CD is available through Amazon or as I suggest Mainely A-cappella.
And I'm off! Start planning your CEC/SPP summer calendar now! If you can make it to New England for CV2 I would encourage you to do so. Depending on your stay it might not be as expensive as you think. I'll have more on all that next month along with some Rock-a-Palooza tie-ins!
See you next month, - VegaNova |
