ISSUE #54 - May/June, 2005 Hey everyone! I hope that everyone's summer is off to a great start. Myself, I have a summer that's nearly gridlocked with upcoming events to keep me busy with a seemingly endless stream of tasks! Got a bi-monthly issue in store for this month. That's a result of having too much other stuff to do. |

CV2 is getting closer and closer - less than two months left until the big event hits! That's where much of my time has been devoted as of late - for those who haven't checked out the CV2 website, please do so. Even if you don't think you'll be able to make it there's some neat stuff including some available DVD-Rs which are available to anyone who would like to make a donation to the CV cause.

Recently our message board along with thousands of others who use eZboard suffered quite a massive attack. By massive I mean that entire sections of our board have been wiped out and will most likely never see restoration. Unfortunately fixing this problem is entirely in the hands of eZboard. Maybe we'll see at least some partial restoration... at the very least we'd better see some hefty credits to our 'Gold Community' status. In the wake of all this, I'm trying to look at the bright side of things. Some of these forums needed to be cleaned out anyway, as I'm sure that most people don't go back very far to read old posts. Also this gives us a good chance to 'start over' in some of the forums. If you haven't been posting lately (which I myself am guilty of) now is a perfect chance to spark up some new conversation - especially in the forums that are now empty such as the PTT board. What better way to get your posts noticed? I'll be doing what I can through the site to strike up more interest and to make this a great summer to be a CEC/SPP fan. |

Which reminds me, besides CV2 we also have Rock-a-Palooza 2005 to look forward to. Plans are still in the very early planning stages, but the event will hit in late August. I'm focusing much of my attention on CV2 this year, but I'm also looking into way to tie both of the events together! RAP is something that everyone who visits the site can participate in, while CV can be hard because of those who have to commute. Forgive me because I'm rambling at this point, but I do have some ideas on how these 2 summer events can compliment each other quite nicely. We'll have to see how everything works out in the end, but I for one am excited. See you next month, |
