Acme Beach Bear Doll
EST VALUE: $20-30, $100-125 (MIB)
My research shows that this is the 1st Beach Bear Doll. 9 1/2 inches tall. Comes in 3 peices: Doll body, the shorts, and lei. One of the significant traits of the Acme version is his dark brown face. I've seen probably 10 Acme Beach Bears, and all exhibit the darker face. The hair is also straighter than on the later versions. The lei comes in several different flower colors, and each flower is seperated by a small straw-like segment.

OTC Beach Bear Doll (Version A)
EST VALUE: $20-30
Early version of the OTC Beach Bear (version A). 9 1/2 inches tall. Comes in 3 peices: Doll body, shorts, and lei. This doll is of better quality than the B versions. Looks like the Acme version, but has a lighter face and more curly hair. Lei is much the same.

OTC Beach Bear Doll (Version B)
EST VALUE: $20-35, $80-125 (MIB)
This is the later version of the OTC Beach Bear (version B). 9 1/2 inches tall. Comes in 3 peices: Doll body, shorts, and Lei. It's made much more cheaply, and has the typical glue marks and bad sewing job. The most noticeable difference is the design on the shorts. They are totally different from all earlier versions. Another difference is that his arms are stuffed, whereas earlier they were empty. Also the lei has flowers that are seperated by clear rubber segments.
