For the 5th Anniversary of CheeseVention, it was decided that it would return home to where the "officially unofficial" fan convention started - MAgical MAssachusetts! The theme for this year was "magic", and the slogan was "CV5 - Where the Magic Comes Alive". The theme was incorporated into the event in several ways, and the guests were indeed presented with a magical time.

The event kicked off at the Danvers, MA Chuck E. Cheese's, where a special birthday party was held for one of our convention guests - Danny E! From there the CheeseVention group traveled to the "CV5 Hall" in Salem, where collectible displays were presented for the guests - posters, documents, and even Cyberamic re-creations were included. All of the guests were able to get acquainted with one another before the big CV5 kick-off!

J and Jenn kicked off the CV5 festivities with a welcoming announcement and a special trivia contest. Fans all got to play "Name That ShowTune" in order to win some CEC-related prizes. Following the games, everyone was invited to take part in a special taping of "Letters to Looney Bird Live"... which for the first time was actually recorded live! Guests were able to join J and Looney on the couch to ask have their questions answered by Looney himself. Several kids participated, and Rapid T. Rabbit also made a guest appearance.

Next up was the CV5 Live show spectacular! A real treat was in store, as this Live performance was done continuously without intermission. There were performances by Helen Henny, Billy Bob & Looney Bird, and a special presentation by Wizard Chuck E who performed actual magic tricks! But in the surprise finale, all 5 members of Munch's Make Believe Band took to the stage to perform "Party Place" (including an amazing set of props - like Munch's organ which actually lit up!)

On Saturday the CV5 group ventured into NH to visit Storyland amusement park to check out their animatronic shows and attractions. Sunday concluded the event with the traditional "goodbye breakfast" for the last remaining guests.

CheeseVention 5 was a fun adventure for all in attendance, and once again allowed fans to partake in what turned out to be another a wonderful CEC/ShowBiz related weekend.
