ISSUE #30 - November, 2002

Hey everyone! I hope that all of you are well and I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Things here have been pretty busy, my school load has started to take it's toll now that the semester is winding down (or gearing up toward finals). So I've been away from the computer and website for a few weeks as I'm sure some of you have noticed. So this month's Bulletin is a breakdown of some of the events that have happened recently. For those of you keeping up with the bulletin board this will be a snoozer, but in case you haven't, here's a quick rundown.

Way back in October CEC stocks plummeted in value over 16% overnight and sent a scare through alot of people. The company's remodels of phase revamps haven't yeilded standing profit increases. This isn't to say that the company's going to go under, but I think that it shows CEC's potential vulnerability during this time of economic hardship. I think that it'll be intersting to see if anything happens. In my oppinion CEC has (over the years) created such a narrow audience and targeted too small of a niche audience. This seems to have worked out fine so far, but if the economy continues to decline an expensive outing to CEC might become obsolete in exchange for a cheaper stay-at-home birthday party.

Snap has gone through quite the ordeal in Tennesse, but down in Nashville is another Rock-afire show! This one isn't a full show, but the mini-stage. It's in a bowling alley, so obviously it's not the main focus of the place, but hopefully the owner will keep it in good repair. Can't wait to see the pictures and video he shot.

The Looney Bird's website has been updated and lots of content added. Including alot of mine... when I saw that the sound bites were coming off my server I was going to have to raise a fit. But when I saw all the prominent links to my site (finally) I calmed down. So far I haven't had any bandwidth issues / complications because of it, so it's so far so good.

Well it's about time for me to get off here. Everyone who's subscribed to Davy D's fanzine will get to read my little interview in it. It should be out soon, so I hope that everyone enjoys it.

See you next month!
