1980s - Creative Engineering Inc. (Orlando, FL)

Mini-Animatronic Billy Bob w/Stand
EST VALUE: $500-600, $300-400 (Loose Billy Bob)

This is a very rare prototype figure that was never released. It was one of a few built in 1985 by CEI. It never made it into production because it was too delicate and expensive to mass produce. Examples with finished bases are very rare, however, a few unfinished ceramic bases and mint Billy Bobs have been found.

Mini-Animatronic Billy Bob's w/Stage
EST VALUE: $500-600

This mini-animatronic figure was designed in several prototype versions. This particular one has a cylindrical stage that has a custom Billy Bob logo that was designed to actually light up.

Mini-Animatronic Billy Bob w/Smitty's Stage
EST VALUE: $???

Although a few fans have designed similar stages, this was the original (and only) Smitty's stage prototype designed by CEI. It had moving curtains and was used for promotional photographs.

Mini-Animatronic Billy Bob Documentation
EST VALUE: $15-20

These are promotional materials printed to show off the Mini Billy Bob at a NY toy show. The pamphlet folds out, and the folder contains a packet with drawings and information.

Paul McCartney Plug
EST VALUE: $???

From what I've been able to research, CEI had planned to make an animatronic Paul McCartney for ShowBiz. This sculp was developed in the early 1980s using R&D money from ShowBiz. He was to appear on stage (a la Uncle Klunk). It never saw the light of day. This plug was from that mold.

Uncut Record Sleeve Sheet
EST VALUE: $20-30

A few of these uncut sheets of record sleeves have been found at Creative Engineering. Has 2 of the harder to find records - Strain Your Brain (RAE VII), and the Monkee Medley (RAE IX).

Select-A-Show Artwork (Prototype?)
EST VALUE: $75-100

This artwork was designed to work with a show selector panel. Listings by the buttons have songs from around 1984 (Magic and Trivia shows). This might have been prototype or may have been actually used in the few ShowBiz stores that had the Show Selector system in the early 1980s.

Creative Engineering T-shirt
EST VALUE: $12-18

This dark blue shirt has the words Creative Engineering on the front, and a large logo on the backside. The front pocket also has the CEI logo.

1990s - Creative Engineering Inc. (Orlando, FL)

Creative Engineering 20th Anniversary Cup
EST VALUE: $2-5

This small styrofoam cup was made around 1995 to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Creative Engineering. There are a number of these out there, however only 1,000 cups were produced.
